So this turn I turned off some late war ships and I'm doing better. But should I turn off the BB's for now?....GP

btd64 -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/9/2020 2:25:00 PM)

My late CL has arrived. Adjusting the construction of the ships in the queue did the job. You learn something new every day....GP

John 3rd -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/9/2020 3:38:25 PM)

It is going to be a massive juggle getting everything produced. Michael and I found out about this earlier and that is why we placed the 2nd pair of either Yamato or Owari's into the building cue. They suck up points and force the Japanese player to CHOOSE what they want to do. I like that option a lot.

Will begin this update when I come home from work this afternoon. Am thinking about placing a production line of Claude, Mabel, and Susie in the 'at start' Japanese production. Since we will have more of these planes still being used, it seems to make sense to me. Thoughts on that?

Good! Was concerned about that...

No, nope, never, zilch, etc.....
Don't need them as production of other airframes will steadily place these three types back in the pool as they are upgraded.

Agree with Michael, you already have 200+ Claudes in the pool, how many more do you need of obsolete aircraft?

Those aircraft are being replaced so I would also say not necessary/No....GP

Agree with the gallery wholeheartedly.

John 3rd -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/10/2020 3:37:27 AM)

BTSL 079 Complete. It is on the way.

John 3rd -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/10/2020 4:06:52 AM)

BTSH 074 Sent out.

John 3rd -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/10/2020 4:13:17 AM)

Changes to the latest versions:
1. Moved several PH I-Boats elsewhere for more possible benefit.
2. Fixed BC Ishitaka's secondary.
3. Re-Worked Starting Air Production by adding a Claude, Mabel, and Susie line. Delteted several others and replaced them with research into late-war navy and army fighters.
4. As per many of Kitakami's recommendations, re-worked IJN Naval starting XP numbers. Just want to say that SUCKED!
5. Lessened the amount of starting airframes for the 9th Air Fleet forming in Kyushu.
6. Re-Vamped IJN CV deployment. It now consists of:
---KB-1 Akagi-Amagi-2 CVL at Etorofu
---KB-2 Hiryu-Soryu at Saipan
---KB-3 Shokaku-Zuikaku and 2 CAV at Etorofu
---KB-4 2 CVL at CRB
---KB-5 3 CVE at Babeldoap

KB-1 to 4 have the speed bonus and the player really has the option now to hit PH with KB-1 to 3 OR use KB-2 for something else.

You asked for feedback here, but still ignored your ministers here. WHY?!? [&:][&:][&:]

ny59giants -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/10/2020 11:58:03 AM)

From: Japanese Economic Minister Benoit

To: Fleet Admiral Cochran

Subject: Airframes, At Start

I propose these six airframe factories be changed.

Mabel to C5M2 Babs - I often end up short on recon in first few months due to ops losses. The Babs are there (but no factory), but it take a while for the Dinah to crank up and others to upgrade to them.

Claude to A6M3 Zero which become available in early '42

Susie to B7A2 Grace which could use another R&D factory

Val at Gifu to Ki-21-Ic Sally which uses the Naka Ha-5. The Ha-5 is used for very few obsolete airframes and is one of the first engines I convert. Let player use them up here as there is about 75 in pool at start. Three Val factories at start is too many.

Jake at Osaka to E15K1 Norm which I like in '43 for the extra 3 hexes in range. Right now there are 3 Jake factories. Really just need one.

Oscar Ic at Sendai to Oscar Id (1/42) this is the Oscar we took from RHS, but needs its own factory.

Makes me wonder why I spend time to answer your questions. Since 4 of us answered and all said no and then you go ahead anyway.

John 3rd -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/10/2020 5:32:11 PM)

Hmmmm...that was very weird.

When I crashed Saturday night I hadn't seen any replies. Then you guys all Posted back on my query on the old airframes. When I got home from work yesterday afternoon, I was so focused getting the two updates done that I never checked the Thread and went straight to work. I never saw your replies to just now! Was about to say that NO ONE replied to my question when I decided to scroll back up to the top of this page and saw the Postings. Oooopps my bad...that is FUNNY![;)] A belated THANKS for the responses.

OK. Going by the group's thoughts, I will nix the old airframes and see what else needs to be worked on. Thanks for the specific thoughts Michael.

btd64 -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/10/2020 7:42:30 PM)

What Should I look at in the Japanese economy on the last and first day of the month....GP

John 3rd -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/10/2020 8:40:24 PM)

Did HI make gains? I've been averaging almost 2,000 a day.

How about supply in the Home Islands? Is it up?

Fuel and how long will it last?

Those are the types of things I am looking for when I roll the new month.

John 3rd -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/10/2020 11:40:43 PM)

The CORRECTED 074 BTSH is now sent.

John 3rd -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/10/2020 11:49:30 PM)

UPDATED 079 sent.

What about the Rufe? It's blue. Upgrade, repair and production are yes....GP

btd64 -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/11/2020 12:34:18 AM)

Just as I said in my email, it is about to go into production. Watch the percentage climb every turn from here on out.

IT isn't at Saipan?

Which version did you look at?

ny59giants -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/11/2020 12:56:01 AM)

I like where the airframes are now. [8D][8D]

ny59giants -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/11/2020 12:57:10 AM)

This evening's version...BTSL 1.7 5-10

John 3rd -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/11/2020 12:59:32 AM)

79 has it right but 74 was wrong: FIXED!

It goes into production in Jan 42 and is showing 1%. will it automatically move to production or is there something that I need to do?....GP

John 3rd -> RE: BTS Play-Testing (5/11/2020 1:02:08 AM)

Just sit back, open a beer, and watch it climb turn-to-turn.
